Uzbekistan and India — a reciprocal 30-day visa waiver announced, with no start date
Now published — and narrower than announced. A presidential decree of 29 August 2026, reported by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Justice, lets Indian citizens enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days from 1 September 2026, but only if they hold a valid multiple-entry tourist or business visa of Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the United States or a Schengen state, plus a ticket onward or home. An Indian passport on its own still needs the Uzbek e-Visa, so our verdict for India → Uzbekistan stays eVisa; this note exists for the conditional route. India has published nothing for Uzbek citizens, so Uzbekistan → India stays eVisa too.
