Thailand — same number of days, different legal basis

The number of days does not change, but the legal basis does. Your visa-free entry to Thailand has always rested on a bilateral treaty, not on the unilateral 60-day scheme that the Royal Gazette repealed on 31 August 2026 with effect from 15 September. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs list (Bilat_Ordinary, Department of Consular Affairs, 12 December 2025) is unchanged. A printout is worth carrying all the same: check-in staff and some officers work from the unilateral list and may not expect a treaty entry in the first weeks. (Myanmar passports: the treaty applies at international airports only, not at land borders.)

What has NOT changed

A change to the visa rule does not change these. They apply as before.

Arrival cardThailand Digital Arrival Card — Required. Submit online within 72 h of arrival — free on the official site.
Yellow fever certificateCertificate required if you arrive from a country with a risk of transmission.
