Malawi ended visa-free entry for roughly twenty nationalities that previously entered without a visa; an e-visa via evisa.gov.mw is now required. Applied for Russia earlier; extended on 2026-07-19 to the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, China and Israel after an external audit found them still marked visa-free.
