Kenya — the visa-free regime became an eTA
Kenya abolished visas but now requires an Electronic Travel Authorisation, applied for in advance on the official government portal. The requirement is not universal: the 2025 Amendment Rules exempt 77 countries outright, and East African Community citizens travel under their own regime. Somalia and Libya are excluded from every exemption tier.
